The 51-year-old Frenchman is close to heading Bayern.
Former head coach of Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane may become the coach of Bayern Munich starting next season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the parties successfully negotiated the possible arrival of the Frenchman on the coaching bridge of the Munich club.
It is also noted that Zidane immediately asked the management of the German club to strengthen the squad, especially the defensive line – this is one of his conditions in order to accept the offer to lead Bayern.
For Recordmaster, Zidane's candidacy is a priority to replace Thomas Tuchel, who will leave the team in the summer.
51- summer Zidane is unemployed after leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.
Another contender for the position of coach of the Bavarians was the current head coach of the German national team Julian Nagelsmann, who already headed the Munich club from 2021 to 2023. But on Friday, April 19, Nagelsmann extended his contract with the Bundesteam until 2026, so he is no longer an option for Bayern.
With five rounds to go, Munich are in second place in the Bundesliga table behind the new champions – Bayer Leverkusen. Tuchel's team also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they will play against Real Madrid.
