A clash between the players of both teams arose immediately after final whistle
The central match of the 28th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) between Shakhtar and“Dynamo”ended with a mass fight between the football players.
In the match at the Lviv Arena, the Donetsk club beat the Kiev team with a score of 1:0 and won the championship ahead of schedule.
Immediately after the final whistle, a fight broke out on the field involving players from both teams. The referee tried to calm the passions and showed a straight red card to the Pitmen's midfielder Eguinaldo, who was the main initiator of this brawl.
At this moment, Denis Popov was jostling with Efim Konoplya. Then other players intervened and had a verbal showdown, after which Shakhtar moved on to celebrate the championship, and Dynamo went to the locker room.
Thanks to the victory in the Classic, the Pitmen secured UPL gold ahead of schedule. Two rounds before the end of the championship, Shakhtar's advantage (70 points) over Dynamo increased to 7 points.
For the Donetsk club this is the 15th championship in history. Thus, Shakhtar has come closer in this indicator to Dynamo, which remains the record holder of the Ukrainian championship with 16 titles won.
We would like to add that on Wednesday, May 15, Shakhtar will play with Vorskla in final of the Ukrainian Cup, which will be held at the Avangard stadium in Rivne. The starting whistle will sound at 19:00.
