Enzo Maresca's men took three points in a spectacular game against Brighton.
Chelsea defeated Brighton in a home match of the 6th round of the English Premier League (EPL)season 2024/25. The match at Stamford Bridge in London ended with a score of 4:2.
Already in the 7th minute, Jorginho Rutter put the Seagulls ahead. However, even before the break, the hosts responded with four goals, all of them by Cole Palmer, who scored from the 21st to the 41st minute. He scored one of the four goals from the penalty spot.
The 22-year-old Englishman became the first player in the history of the Premier League to score four goals in the first half.

Carlos Baleba scored Brighton's second goal in the 34th minute. In the second half, the teams failed to hit each other's goal, so the score on the scoreboard did not change.
Note that Mudrik started the match on the bench and came on as a substitute in the 71st minute instead of Jadon Sancho.

Thanks to this victory, Chelsea (13 points) rose to third place in the Premier League. Enzo Maresca's men are just one point behind the championship leaders, Manchester City and Arsenal. In turn, Brighton with 9 points is in eighth position.
In the next round of the Premier League, Mudrik's team will host Nottingham on October 6, and Fabian Hürzeler's charges will meet Tottenham at home on the same day.
