The Kosovo national team players left the field early due to the behavior of the fans.
The match of the 5th round of the group stage of the 2024/25 Nations League between the national teams of Romania and Kosovo, which took place on November 15 in Bucharest, was not played out.
In stoppage time in the second half, with the score 0:0, Romanian fans began chanting insults against the Kosovo team, including the phrase “Kosovo is Serbia.”

The match was suspended. Subsequently, the Romanian national team players and referees returned to the field, unlike the Kosovars, who refused to continue the match. As a result, the head referee, Danish Morten Krogh, blew the final whistle.
The fate of the match will be decided by UEFA in the near future: a technical defeat threatens both Romania (due to the behavior of the fans) and Kosovo (for the demarche by leaving the field).
