Francis Ngannou supported "Iron Mike", who returned to the ring at 58.
Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou addressed former undisputed world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson after his defeat in a fight with a popular blogger Jake Paul.
The Cameroonian mixed martial artist nicknamed “The Predator” expressed his admiration for the legendary American boxer, who decided to return to the ring at the age of 58.
“You won by simply doing it at your age, champ. We all know who you are and what you are capable of. Most athletes can't even stand up on their own at that age,” Ngannou wrote on the X social network.
We will add that Tyson had previously helped Ngannou prepare for his boxing debut. In October 2023, Francis lost by split decisionBriton Tyson Fury, whom he even knocked down. In March 2024, the MMA star entered the ring against another top British heavyweight Anthony Joshua and was defeated by knockout.
The fight between 58-year-old Tyson and 27-year-old Paul took place on the night of November 16 in Arlington, USA. The fight lasted 8 rounds of two minutes. As a result, “Iron Mike” lost by unanimous decision.
