Follow the fifth match of the “miners” in the new format of the most prestigious European Cup.
On Wednesday, November 27, Donetsk Shakhtar will face Dutch PSV in the match of the fifth round of the main stage of the Champions League of the 2024/25 season.
The match will take place at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. The starting whistle will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time.
In the updated format of the Champions League, each of the 36 teams in the main round will play eight matches with different opponents (four at home and four away). All tournament participants received 2 opponents from 4 different baskets.
After four rounds, the Miners occupy 28th place in the overall standings of the main round of the Champions League, having 4 points.
Earlier, the current champion of Ukraine played a draw against Bologna (0:0), suffered a crushing defeat to Atalanta (0:3), lost to Arsenal (0:1) and won against Young Boys (2:1).
The eight best teams of the main stage of the Champions League will reach the 1/8 finals. The clubs that finish 9th to 24th in the overall standings will play paired play-off matches to reach the 1/8 finals. The rest will finish their participation in European competitions.
