On Saturday, January 11, the women's pursuit race took place at the fourth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof, Germany.
Ukraine was represented by two biathletes: Kristina Dmitrenko (40th starting position according to the results of the sprint) and World Cup debutant Darina Chalyk (56th). Yulia Dzhima, who was supposed to start the race 14th, withdrew before the start due to illness.
The best result among Ukrainians in the pursuit was shown by Dmitrenko, who closed the top 30 with one miss. Chalyk made seven inaccurate shots on three firing lines and was ultimately removed from the race as a round robin.
The race was won by Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonneau. Norwegian Maren Kirkeide came in second, and Sweden's Elvira Oeberga rounded out the top three.

Also today in Oberhof there will be a men's pursuit race, which will start at 15:45 Kyiv time. Ukraine will be represented by Dmytro Pidruchnyi (4th starting position), Vitaliy Mandzyn (17th) and Taras Lesyuk (34th).
The stage in Oberhof will end on Sunday, January 12, with the classic and single mixed relays.
