The “blue-yellows” won five victories in five matches of the tournament.
The Ukrainian youth ice hockey team (U-20) became the world champion in Division IV. Our team won all five matches at the tournament, which took place in Tallinn (Estonia).
In the last match, the “blue-yellows” defeated Japan with a score of 7:2. Before that, the Ukrainians beat Estonia (8:1), Poland (3:0), Italy (6:5) and South Korea (5:2).
Thus, the Ukrainian team with 15 points became the champion of the tournament and won a ticket to the second-ranked division IA, where it last played in 2011.
Since then, our team has taken second place in division IV three times and remained there the following year.
