Igor Surkis told whether "Dynamo" will sell one of its leaders to the Premier League club

English "Wolverhampton" made an offer to transfer Vladimir Brazhko to the Kyiv club.

President of Kyiv "Dynamo" Igor Surkis commented on rumors about the possible transfer of midfielder Vladimir Brazhko is joining Wolverhampton, which plays in the English Premier League (EPL).

In a commentary for TaToTake, he said that the 23-year-old Ukrainian national team player will continue to play for the White-Blues.

According to the president of the Kyiv club, Wolverhampton's offer for Brazhko's transfer was rejected because he is a key player for Dynamo and should help the team fight for victory in the Ukrainian championship and entry into the Champions League next season.

“Bryazhko is staying at Dynamo. Because we are guided first and foremost by the club's priorities. And they are obvious: we need to win the championship and get the opportunity to fight for the right to participate in the 2025/26 Champions League. Vladimir is a key player on the team who will help us achieve this goal. This is much more important than making some money on his sale.

At the same time, we really want to see Brazhko in a big championship and a high-status European club. He knows our position, reacts calmly to everything and will deserve such an offer in the future.

Dynamo respects Wolverhampton, but we all, including the player, understand that next season the club may end up in the Championship. If we wish, we will have time and opportunity to return to this conversation when both clubs have achieved their tournament goals,” Surkis said.

Earlier, authoritative insider Fabrizio Romano reported that the Premier League club offered Dynamo 20 million euros for Brazhko’s transfer, taking into account possible bonuses. According to him, the midfielder himself was interested in this transfer.

Dynamo Media Director Andriy Shakhov also confirmed Wolverhampton’s interest in Brazhko, noting that this is not the only club interested in the player.

This season, Brazhko played 25 matches for the White-Blues in all tournaments, scored 4 goals and made 3 assists.

Recall that Dynamo went into the winter break as the leader of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The White-Blues (43 points) are 5 points ahead of Oleksandria and 10 points ahead of Shakhtar, which has a match in hand.

In the first match of the “spring” part of the UPL, Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team will host Karpaty on February 23.

Wolverhampton currently ranks 17th in the EPL standings, 2 points ahead of the relegation zone.
