The boxers almost fought the day before the title fight.
WBO lightweight title holder Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk and American Keyshawn Davis had a final battle of eyes before the championship fight.
Before the stare-off, Keyshawn made a “cut throat” gesture, and during it, he stroked the title that the Ukrainian boxer was holding on his shoulder.
When Davis turned to the audience, Berinchyk pushed him from behind. This led to a push that almost escalated into a fight. Security intervened and separated the boxers.
