The Romans played out the match with a man down.
"Roma" of Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk played a draw away with Porto in the first match of the 1/16 finals of the Europa League of the 2024/25 season. The meeting at the Estadio do Dragao in the city of Porto ended with a score of 1:1.
The first half was won by the Italian club. In the 45+5th minute, Zeki Celik opened the scoring in the match, making an accurate strike after Dovbyk fought for the ball in the center of the penalty area.
In the second half, the Portuguese team got even – Francisco Moura scored in the 67th minute.
It should be noted that the Romans played out the rest of the match with a man down. In the 73rd minute, Bryan Cristante received a second yellow card and was sent off.
Dovbyk started for Roma and spent 75 minutes on the pitch before being replaced by Leandro Paredes.

The return match between Roma and Porto will take place in a week, on February 20, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The winner of the two-legged tie will receive a ticket to the 1/8 finals.
The draw for the 1/8 finals, 1/4 finals and 1/2 finals of the Europa League will take place on February 21.
