The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Yulia Dzhima.
On Thursday, March 13, the eighth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia, started with the women's short individual race.
Ukraine was represented by five biathletes: Kristina Dmitrenko , Yulia Dzhima , Elena Gorodnaya , Alexandra Merkushyna and Darina Chalyk .
The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Dzhima, who took 12th place. Gorodnaya finished 13th, setting a personal best. Dmitrenko, who finished the race 18th, also made it into the top 20.
The Frenchwoman Julia Simon won the short individual event. The second place went to the Swede Hanna Oeberg, and the third place went to the German Franziska Preuss.

Let us add that today in Pokljuka there will also be a men's short individual race, where Anton Dudchenko, Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Vitaliy Mandzyn and Taras Lesyuk will run from Ukraine. The start is at 16:15 Kyiv time.
