Racing Bulls got their strategy wrong in Melbourne. Yuki Tsunoda was consistently running in the top ten, but after a pit stop he dropped back and didn't score any points…
Yuki Tsunoda (12th): “The timing of the pit stop was poor, we made it too late, so after the safety car I was only 11th.
The pace was high, we made no mistakes until the rain came. I did everything I could and I am happy with my performance. We will analyze what happened so as not to repeat the mistake – in such a close fight, when every point matters, such mistakes are unacceptable.
The result is not the best, but there are also positive moments. The car is fast, and if we use its potential to the maximum, we can earn a lot of points.”
Isaac Hajjar (DNF): “I can only apologise to the team for my mistake. The track was slippery on the formation lap and I was trying to warm up the tyres as best I could, but the car spun and I lost control. Before hitting the wall I felt like a passenger and there was nothing I could do. I will try to make amends in China next week.”
