Serhiy Rebrov's team will meet with teams from Canada and New Zealand.
The Ukrainian national football team will take part in a friendly tournament in Toronto, Canada in the summer of 2025.
The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) reported this on its official Telegram channel.
The Blue-Yellows will play two matches: against Canada (June 7) and New Zealand (June 10). Both matches will be held at BMO Field, which will host the 2026 World Cup finals.
The fourth participant in the Four Nations Tournament “Canadian Shield” will be the Ivory Coast team, but Sergei Rebrov's team will not play against them.
The matches will be held in accordance with FIFA regulations, and their start time will be announced additionally.
“These are not just another fight, but an event of great importance both for Ukrainian football and the entire Ukrainian diaspora overseas. It will also contribute to strengthening the important international ties of our country during the war,” the UAF post says.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian national team will soon play against Belgium in the playoffs for a place in the elite division of the next Nations League. Rebrov's team will nominally play a home match on March 20 in Murcia, Spain, and the return match is scheduled for March 23 in Genk, Belgium.
In September of this year, the “blue-yellows” will start the 2026 World Cup qualifiers . In the group stage of the qualification for the future Mundial, the Ukrainians will play against Iceland, Azerbaijan, and the winner of the 2024/25 Nations League quarterfinal between the national teams of Croatia and France.
