Ukraine national team striker Artem Dovbyk has returned to training with the national team ahead of the return match against Belgium in the playoffs for the right to play in the elite division of the next Nations League.
The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) reported this on its official Telegram channel.
It should be noted that the 27-year-old forward of the Italian Roma missed the first match with Belgium due to a viral infection, and was not even included in the squad for the game.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian national team was left without two players before the return match with Belgium in the League of Nations playoffs – right backs Yefim Konoplya and Oleksiy Sych left the national team camp due to injuries.
Let us recall that in the first match, which took place on March 20 in Murcia, Spain, Sergei Rebrov’s team won a strong-willed victory over the Belgians with a score of 3:1.
The return match between Belgium and Ukraine will take place on Sunday, March 23, in the Belgian city of Genk. The starting whistle will sound at 21:45 Kyiv time.
The winner of the two-match confrontation between Ukraine and Belgium will receive a place in the most prestigious Division A of the League of Nations. The losing team will play the next tournament in Division B.
