Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn believes that British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) will not be able to take the IBF belt from current holder Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).
“Derek has fought for a world title before, hasn't he? Twice. This is not the best fight for him. Daniel Dubois is not the fight I want to see, but it's his career, if he deserves it and gets booked for it, it's not his fault.”
“It's just style. In Del Boy's career, there are certain styles that suit him, some that don't, and Dubois is one of those that doesn't suit him. But Chisora is a legend.”
Recall that according to the recent IBF decision, the Dubois-Chisora fight will be approved for April 22, and the deadline for holding it is June 21. At the same time, the unification fight of Dubois against the holder of the WBO/WBC/WBA/IBO heavyweight titles, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) will have priority over the mandatory.

On the night of February 8-9, 41-year-old Chisora defeated Otto Wallin by unanimous decision: 114-112, 116-110, 117-109. The Swede was knocked down twice during the fight. This fight was positioned as a qualifier for the second line of the IBF rating.
After that fight, Derek addressed the crowd to determine his next opponent: the biggest excitement among the spectators was caused by the persons of Alexander Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
