Former world champion in four weight categories Juan Manuel Marquez commented skeptically on the possible fight between WBC, WBA and WBO super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KO) and WBA light middleweight title holder Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KO).
“I don't like this fight. Terence Crawford was a good fighter at light welterweight and welterweight, but boxing has weight classes for a reason.”

Earlier it became known that Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Terence Crawford agreed to hold a fight that could take place in September in Las Vegas.
The desire to organize this fight was announced last summer by the Chairman of the General Authority for Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al ash-Sheikh.
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, 34, last fought in September 2024, winning a unanimous decision over Edgar Berlanga and earning his 62nd professional victory. The Mexican will fight William Scull in Riyadh on May 3.
Crawford last entered the ring in August last year, defeating Uzbekistan's Israil Madrimov.
