The promoter believes that Joshua could also fight Paul
The coach and director of Oleksandr Usyk's team, Sergey Lapin, would like to see the Ukrainian fight against showman Jake Paul under MMA rules.
This idea is supported by Alexander himself, who posted a poster of a fight with Paul under MMA rules on his Instagram.
The famous promoter Eddie Hearn responded to the possible fight, believing that Jake could also fight Anthony Joshua.
“Jake could have two fights in a row – first with Joshua in boxing, and then with Usyk under MMA rules. I don't think boxers will fight in MMA. I don't see Usyk there,” Hearn said.
Let us recall that in November 2024, boxer-showman Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision of the judges – 80-72, 79-73, 79-73. Tyson suffered his seventh defeat in the professional ring.
Usyk, in turn, defeated Tyson Fury twice last year.
