Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski became the first player in the history of the Champions League to score 10 or more goals in one tournament for three different clubs.
Yesterday, the Polish striker scored twice in the home game against Borussia D (4:0) in the first quarterfinal match. Thus, in the current tournament, he has already scored 11 goals in 11 matches.
Lewandowski previously scored 10 or more goals in a single Champions League campaign in the 2012/13 season with Borussia D (13 matches/10 goals), and he also managed to do the same twice with Bayern – in the 2019/20 season (10 matches/15 goals), and in the 2021/22 campaign (10 matches/13 goals).
The return leg of the quarter-final between Borussia D and Barcelona will take place next Tuesday, April 15.
