After the conclusion of the second round of the group stage at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, three national teams have officially lost their chances of advancing to the next phase of the tournament. In Group A, Slovakia U-21 and Romania U-21 suffered defeats against both Spain and Italy, failing to earn a single point in their first two matches, reports Baltimore Chronicle.

Joining them among the early eliminations is Poland U-21, competing in Group C. Following an opening loss to Georgia, the Polish team was handed a crushing defeat by Portugal. With zero points after two games, Poland has no mathematical chance of reaching the playoff stage, even with a win in their final group match, as they can no longer catch up with their rivals in the standings.
