Slovenia has been officially added to the list of host countries for the UEFA Futsal Euro 2026, becoming the tournament’s third co-host. This decision was made by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) in response to the ban imposed by Latvia and Lithuania on hosting matches involving the Belarusian national team, reports Baltimore Chronicle.

The Belarusian team qualified for the upcoming tournament, but due to organizational restrictions in the Baltic countries, their participation was not possible without an additional host nation. UEFA approved the inclusion of Slovenia — which also secured qualification for Euro 2026 — as the third host country of the event.

Slovenia is set to host 18 matches in total, including the games of groups C and D. The Slovenian national team will play in group C, while Belarus, according to the draw results, may be placed in either of these groups.

The UEFA Futsal European Championship 2026 will be held from January 20 to February 7. The national team of Ukraine will also participate in the tournament.
