On Saturday, July 19, the iconic Wembley Stadium in London will host a highly anticipated fight between Ukrainian world champion Oleksandr Usyk and British IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois. At stake will be the status of undisputed heavyweight world champion, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
This will be the second clash between these two fighters. Their first encounter took place in August 2023 in Wroclaw, Poland. On that occasion, Usyk secured a confident victory, knocking out Dubois in the ninth round and retaining his WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF belts.
The boxing event at Wembley is scheduled to begin at 19:00 Kyiv time. The main fight between Usyk and Dubois will start no earlier than 23:30.
The 38-year-old Usyk holds a flawless professional record: 23 wins, including 14 by knockout, and no defeats. In his last fight in December 2024, he defeated Tyson Fury in a rematch, confirming his status as champion under the WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBO organizations.
His opponent, 27-year-old Dubois, nicknamed “Dynamite,” boasts 22 victories (21 by knockout) in 24 fights. He has suffered two losses in his career — to Joe Joyce in 2020 and to Usyk in 2023. Dubois last stepped into the ring in September 2024, when he knocked out fellow Briton Anthony Joshua, successfully defending his IBF title.
The Usyk vs. Dubois bout will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Box Office in the United Kingdom and via platforms such as DAZN and ESPN+ in other regions.
