The official weigh-in for the boxing event organized by the Queensberry promotion company took place in Manchester, England. The main attraction of the evening will be the fight for the vacant WBO International light heavyweight title between British boxers Joshua Buatsi (19-1, 13 KOs) and Zak Parker (26-1, 18 KOs), reports Baltimore Chronicle.
During the weigh-in, Buatsi registered 79 kg, while Parker weighed in at 79.3 kg. This bout marks Buatsi’s first appearance in the ring since his points defeat by Callum Smith in February earlier this year.
Zak Parker last competed at the end of 2022, attempting to win the temporary WBO title in the super middleweight division (76.2 kg), but he lost to John Ryder. Since then, Parker has recorded four consecutive victories, bringing him back into contention for titles.
The second most significant fight of the evening will see European EBU light heavyweight champion Bradley Ritchie (21-1, 10 KOs) defending his title against fellow Briton and former world title contender Lyndon Arthur (24-3, 16 KOs). At the weigh-in, Ritchie registered 78.5 kg, while Arthur weighed 79 kg.
