Lomachenko last competed at ring on the night of May 21, 2023, when he lost by unanimous decision to American Devin Haney in a fight for the title of absolute world lightweight champion. The 36-year-old Ukrainian has 17 wins (11 by knockout) and 3 losses in the professional ring.
Kambosos, in his last fight in July 2023, defeated Briton Maxie Hughes, winning the IBO minor lightweight title. The 30-year-old Australian’s track record includes 21 wins (10 by knockout) and 2 losses.
