 The season has ended in Bukovel competitions in winter sports

During the 2024 season, which lasted longer than planned, Bukovel received about 1000 athletes.

From February 7 to February 27 In March, official winter sports competitions were held in Bukovel. In total, about 30 Ukrainian championships in biathlon, alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle, as well as stages of the Ukrainian Cup and international rating competitions under the auspices of FIS, took place on the slopes of the Carpathians.

In particular, on the last day of the season, men's and women's races with a mass start took place as part of the Biathlon Championship. The victories were won by Stepan Kinash and Anastasia Merkushin, respectively. Among the results of other competition days, it is worth highlighting the victories of the leader of the Ukrainian national team Dmitry Pidruchny in the sprint, pursuit race, as well as in the relay race as part of the Ternopil region team.

 The winter sports competition season has ended in Bukovel sports

During the 2024 season, Bukovel received about 1,000 athletes. The best snowboarders of the country competed on the slopes of the resort – world vice-champion Annamarie Dancha and world junior champion Mikhail Kharuk. And the winner of the European Cup stages, Ekaterina Kotsar, competed in freestyle. Alexander Abramenko, winner of Olympic medals at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics, also supported the athletes. Along with experienced athletes, boys and girls, as well as juniors and junior women, competed for the championship. The youth fought for a place in the reserve of national teams of Ukraine and the right to represent our state at official international competitions.

Note that the competition season in Bukovel lasted longer than planned, because the resort hosted championships that were moved from the neighboring Transcarpathian region.

Recall that the first competitions in Bukovel were held in 2006. Since then, the slopes of the resort have hosted all-Ukrainian and international official competitions, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine together with the Ski Federation of Ukraine.
