Russian strike on Dobropillya: number of injured and killed increased

Russian occupiers shelled the settlement of Dobropillya in Donetsk Oblast on the evening of March 7. As of the morning, the number of dead and injured has increased.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“In the evening, the Russians attacked the center of Dobropillya. At least 11 people were killed and another 30 were injured,” the report says.

In addition, as a result of the attack, 8 five-story buildings, an administrative building and 30 cars were damaged. Fires broke out in residential buildings and an administrative building.

Also, while extinguishing the fire, the Russian hijackers struck again, damaging the vehicle. Emergency officials assume that it was probably a “Shahed”.

“Despite the threat, rescuers continue to work. Fires in 20 apartments have been localized, three fires with a total area of 190 square meters have been extinguished,” the State Emergency Service reported.

Shelling of Dobropillya

It is worth noting that Dobropolye is a city in the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region. The distance from Dobropolye to the frontline Pokrovsk is about 30 km.

The shelling of Dobropolye became known the evening before. According to the head of the Donetsk OVA, the Russians carried out three strikes. At first, it was known about five dead and 15 wounded.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that three girls aged 9, 14 and 17, as well as boys aged 10 and 11, were wounded in Dobropillya.

In total, according to the OVA, at least 20 people have died as a result of Russian shelling of the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours.
