Russia launched a combined attack on Dobropolye in Donetsk Oblast. As a result, 11 people died, including a rescuer.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Today, throughout the day, work continued in the city of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region after the Russian strike. This was one of the most brutal strikes, a combined strike. The strike was specially calculated to inflict maximum damage,” the president emphasized.
Zelensky recalled that Russian missiles and kamikaze drones attacked the central part of Dobropillia. Nine residential buildings, a shopping center and shops were hit. The attack killed 11 people.
“My condolences to the families and friends. Among the dead is an employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The second strike occurred when rescuers began working. 50 people were injured. All were given the necessary assistance. Among the injured are seven children, the youngest is a girl, 10 years old,” the head of state said.
Shelling of Dobropillya
Let us recall that on Friday, March 7, Russian troops launched a massive shelling of Dobropolye in the Donetsk region.
The shelling caused significant destruction. While extinguishing the fire, rescuers were shelled again, which resulted in damage to the fire truck.
Reacting to the shelling of Dobropillya, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that such strikes show the immutability of Russia's goals. Therefore, according to him, it is very important to continue to do everything to protect life, strengthen air defenses and strengthen sanctions against Russia.
