A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may take place. There is a “mutual understanding” between the parties.
This was stated by Trump's special representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, reports RBC-Ukraine.
In particular, Witkoff expressed confidence that the possibility of a complete ceasefire in Ukraine could become a reality within the next two weeks.
According to him, peace can be achieved through current negotiations with Russia.
“I think we can achieve a complete ceasefire in Ukraine in a couple of weeks,” he said.
Witkoff noted that a meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump is likely.

Let us recall that the telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on March 18 was devoted to the topic of the war in Ukraine, in particular the issue of a temporary ceasefire.
Following the negotiations, which lasted more than an hour and a half, the Kremlin and the White House made a number of statements.
