Ukraine is actively developing unmanned technologies, creating autonomous combat systems to counter Russian aggression. These systems include aerial, ground, and maritime drones used for reconnaissance, attacks, and battlefield support. In particular, in the area of Lyptsi, Ukrainian forces conducted an attack solely using robotic means for the first time, employing remotely controlled ground platforms equipped with machine guns and kamikaze drones, reports the Baltimore Chronicle, citing The Telegraph.

To coordinate the activities of unmanned systems, a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — the Unmanned Systems Forces — has been established. This unit specializes in the use of drones in military operations. It is responsible for integrating the latest technologies into combat operations, including artificial intelligence and autonomous control systems.

Ukraine also plans to supply over 30,000 long-range strike drones by 2025 as part of its strategy to reduce the technological gap with Russia. These drones are capable of operating autonomously over long distances, striking targets with high precision.

In addition, the country is developing unmanned ground transport vehicles for delivering ammunition and evacuating the wounded, which helps reduce risks for personnel on the front line.

Through these initiatives, Ukraine aims to build an effective and modern army capable of resisting the aggressor using advanced technologies and innovative solutions.
