A new cyber club will soon open in North Korea, attracting attention at the highest level. The country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, personally inspected the facility located in the center of Pyongyang and was pleased with what he saw. The new venue has been evaluated as part of efforts to strengthen youth policy and develop the field of esports in the country, reports the Baltimore Chronicle, citing Gameinside.
The club is housed in a specialized building and impresses with its modern design. Inside, there are more than a hundred gaming stations equipped with powerful hardware and large monitors. The space is organized to meet international standards for cyber arenas. Particular attention was paid to comfortable planning: wide aisles between rows, quality lighting, and proper ventilation create pleasant conditions for players.
During his visit, Kim Jong Un inspected the club’s infrastructure and spoke with those responsible for its creation. He emphasized the importance of developing the intellectual potential of youth through modern technologies. The leader also stressed that such establishments should serve as a platform for discovering talents and training new specialists in the fields of information technology and esports.
In addition to gaming zones, the cyber club features separate areas for training and competitions, allowing tournaments of various levels to be held. It is expected that the club will be accessible not only to professional gamers but also to a broader audience seeking to develop skills in virtual disciplines.
The opening of the club has become part of a broader strategy for modernizing North Korea’s youth policy. Special emphasis is placed on creating conditions for the development of talented youth capable of representing the country in the field of high technology and digital competitions on the international stage.
