Statements by officials and military-political leadership are a tool of influence. But the forecasts about the entry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into Crimea came true; the Ukrainians were there this year.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, in an interview with Suspilny.
Commenting on statements that this year the Ukrainian army will enter occupied Crimea, Yusov emphasized that information is also a weapon.
“Information from officials, from the military-political leadership, is also a tool of influence. They are done when it is needed and the corresponding result is obtained,” he said.
At the same time, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that the Ukrainian military this year, in particular in the summer, visited the temporarily occupied Crimea.
“As for specific statements, they came true. Ukrainians were in Crimea this year and this summer,” Yusov added.
Raids into Crimea
This year, the Ukrainian military conducted a number of successful operations in and near Crimea. In particular, there were also forays into the occupied peninsula.
Let us recall that one of the most successful operations of Ukrainian intelligence officers was the return of control over the “Boiko derricks” – oil production platforms off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea, which Russia seized back in 2015. Terrorists have used the design for military purposes since the start of the full-scale invasion.
