Trump reveals new figures on Russian and Ukrainian military losses

Trump reports that Russia has lost over 112,000 soldiers since the beginning of the year in the war with Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump stated that according to American sources, Russia has lost more than 112,000 military personnel since the beginning of the year in the war against Ukraine, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing his post on Truth Social. Trump did not specify the sources of these figures but mentioned that nearly 20,000 Russian soldiers have died in the “meaningless war with Ukraine” over the past month. He emphasized that Russia’s total losses since the beginning of the year amount to 112,500 military personnel, stressing that this is “a lot of unnecessary deaths.”

Trump also shared data on Ukrainian military losses, stating that approximately 8,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died since the beginning of the year. However, this figure does not include the missing in action. He further noted that Ukraine has also suffered civilian casualties, particularly due to Russian missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities. According to Trump, “This war should never have happened – it’s Biden’s war, not ‘Trump’s.’ I am here only to try to stop it!” This is the first time Trump has publicly disclosed figures on both Russian and Ukrainian military casualties. Previously, he only mentioned that both countries are losing about 5,000 soldiers every day.
