US President Donald Trump has decided to significantly shorten the deadline for his ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin—from 50 days to just 12. This information was revealed by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Baltimore Chronicle, citing TSN.
According to him, the Kremlin has taken note of Trump’s statement regarding the shortened timeframe for resolving the situation in Ukraine but is not interested in further contact with Washington. Despite this, Peskov emphasized that Moscow is allegedly interested in a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
“Regardless of the statements from the US president, Russia will continue to protect its interests,” the spokesman for Putin said.
Regarding the possibility of a meeting between Trump and Putin, Peskov stressed that this issue has not been, and is not, on the agenda.
