Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held his second phone conversation in just two days with U.S. President Donald Trump. The Ukrainian leader shared details of the discussion on his official social media accounts, noting that the dialogue with his American counterpart was once again “very productive,” reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to the official page of Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Zelensky, both leaders continued the topics they had agreed to discuss during their previous call on October 12. The conversation focused on protecting the lives of Ukrainians, strengthening the country’s air defense systems, enhancing resilience in the face of ongoing threats, and expanding Ukraine’s long-range defense capabilities. Energy security and the current situation in Ukraine’s energy sector were also key points of discussion.
President Zelensky emphasized that Donald Trump is well-informed about the situation in Ukraine and the ongoing developments in the country. Both leaders agreed to maintain regular communication, and their teams are already preparing for the next round of talks.
