«On At the base of the Volyn Regional Perinatal Center, cardiac surgery was performed on a prematurely born child with the participation of Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, cardiac surgeon of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Alexander Romanyuk, surgeons Vladimir Selyuk and Valentin Martynyuk and medical medicine. /p>
It is noted that the girl Eva was born at the 26th week of gestation with a body weight of 900 grams. Doctors diagnosed the child with a congenital heart defect – hemodynamically significant patent arterial strait (PAP), which resulted in severe respiratory and heart failure.
On March 1, the girl underwent cardiac surgery. The child is undergoing further treatment in the department of anesthesiology and neonatal intensive care.
As Ukrinform reported, at the Lviv Children's Hospital of St. Nicholas operated on three babies born with huge tumors – teratomas.
