Pension payments do not depend on state budget expenditures.
Next year, Ukraine plans to index pensions. However, the increase in social payments will be insignificant.
This was stated by the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych in an interview with Liga.net.
Zholnovych notes that pension payments do not depend on state budget expenditures. Pensions are financed from the Pension Fund, which receives funds from a single social contribution and donor receipts.
According to her, each social program of the Ministry of Social Policy undergoes strict regulation and audits by international auditors, the purpose of which is to ensure transparency in the use of funds. Such audits are necessary to justify the economic effect and confirm the need for financial support from international donors, in particular, the US government.
Recall that earlier Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced when the next pension indexation would be carried out in Ukraine. In particular, it already took place this year, as well as in 2023.
