As of July 1, 2024, there were UAH 800.9 billion in cash circulation in Ukraine. This is UAH 36.5 billion or 4.8% more than at the beginning of 2024. This was reported by the press service of the NBU.

The regulator believes that power outages encourage citizens to have a certain supply of cash, but such growth is not considered large.

- There are 2.7 billion pieces of cash in circulation. banknotes for a total of UAH 793.5 billion, as well as 14.7 billion coins (excluding commemorative and investment coins) for a total of UAH 7.3 billion. As of July 1 of this year, there were 65 banknotes and 181 payment change and circulating coins per capita in Ukraine (as of January 1, 2024 — 66 and 177, respectively). The largest number of banknotes in circulation are in denominations of 500 hryvnias, and coins — in denominations of 10 kopecks (28.3% and 28.1% of the total number in circulation, respectively). The smallest number are banknotes of 50 hryvnias and coins of 10 hryvnias (4.5% and 1.6% of the total number in circulation, respectively).
