The European Commission has identified 134 transport projects under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program that will receive grant funding totaling €7 billion. This was reported on the portal of the European Commission, writes League.

Who will receive funding
Several projects related to the expansion of import and export routes between Ukraine and the EU will receive funding.
In particular, the projects cover:
- improving road transport infrastructure at border crossing points between Ukraine, Moldova and Romania. increasing capacity at the Hungary-Ukraine railway border crossing. construction of a new section of the road in Poland to the border with Ukraine; financing of research and work on the integration of the Ukrainian and European railway systems.
Most of the funding is aimed at supporting projects that achieve EU climate goals, improve and modernize the EU network of railways, inland waterways and maritime routes along the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). Railway projects will receive 80% of the 7 billion euros.
The Ministry of Community Development of Territories and Infrastructure reported that Ukraine will receive 53 million euros for the implementation of projects and this will be only 50% of the expected costs. The rest should be provided by Ukraine.
