Hungary will block European Union reimbursement to member states that provided ammunition to Ukraine until Kyiv allows the transit of oil to Russian Lukoil via the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó in an interview with ATV TV channel.

“Until this issue is resolved by Ukraine, everyone should forget about the payment of 6.5 billion euros in compensation to the European Peace Fund (EPF) for arms supplies,” Szijjártó noted.
According to him, Hungary and Slovakia buy 33% and 40-45% of crude oil from the Russian Lukoil in transit through Ukraine, respectively.
In addition, the Hungarian Ministry of Energy convened an urgent meeting of the working group on the stability of energy supplies on Tuesday. This working group “reviewed steps already taken and possible future actions.”
