The most difficult period of the summer in the energy sector is already behind us. This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudritsky at a briefing.

According to him, “we have every reason to expect that the most difficult period of the summer is already behind us. We have gone through a very difficult couple of weeks and now the situation has really improved. This is primarily due to the fact that the absolutely abnormal, record-breaking heat has finally subsided. Consequently, electricity consumption has decreased. And, of course, this is also due to the fact that certain energy-generating capacities have come out of repair – long-awaited, important for the energy system – which, of course, give us capacity and reduce the deficit.”
“At some hours, the deficit may be less, at others – a little more. And at others – we even have the opportunity not to introduce any restrictions on electricity consumption,” Kudritsky noted.
