US presidential candidate Donald Trump has released a limited edition of “bitcoin sneakers.” He announced this on his social network Truth Social.

“Buy your bitcoin sneakers right now. These are limited edition, they are numbered, and now you can pay for them with BTC or your favorite cryptocurrency,” Trump wrote.
It is worth noting that he presented the limited edition shoes immediately after speaking at the Bitcoin 2024 conference. At the event, Trump promised to fire the head of the US Securities and Exchange Commission Gary Gensler and make the United States crypto capital of the world.
The shoes are available in two colors – gold (1,000 pairs) and black (4,000 pairs). The pre-order price for a pair is $499 and $299, respectively.
The most expensive series was sold out in the first three hours after the start of sales.
The sneakers feature the Bitcoin logo and the inscription “Trump is the crypto president.” This is the wording he has used more than once when describing his support for the digital asset industry.
In addition, Trump signed five pairs of each type of shoe, and buyers can randomly receive an autographed item.
Trump's “Bitcoin sneakers” have already appeared on the eBay marketplace, where they are sold for much more – from $700 to $2,500.
