In January-July 2024, Ukraine imported goods worth $39.1 billion and exported them worth $22.6 billion, the State Customs Service reported.

Taxable imports amounted to $32.9 billion, which is 84% of the total volume imported goods.
The tax burden per 1 kg of taxable imports in January-July 2024 was $0.5/kg, which is 8% more than for the same period in 2023.
Where did they import more goods from?
Countries from which Ukraine imported more goods:
- China — $7.7 billion, Poland — $4 billion, Germany — $3.1 billion.
Export
Ukraine exported the most to:
- Poland — $2.4 billion, Spain — $1.8 billion, China — $1.8 billion.
Most imported
The following categories of goods accounted for 65% of the total volume of goods imported in January-July 2024:
- machinery, equipment and transport – $13.4 billion. During customs clearance of these goods, UAH 97.5 billion was paid to the budget, which is 30% of customs duty receipts; chemical industry products – $6.9 billion. During customs clearance of these goods, 50.8 billion UAH were paid to the budget, which is 16% of customs duty receipts; fuel and energy goods – $5.1 billion. During customs clearance of these goods, 82.2 billion UAH were paid to the budget, which is 26% of customs duties receipts.
The most exported
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine included:
- food products – $14.1 billion; metals and products made from them – $2.5 billion; mineral products – $2 billion.
It is noted that for 7 months of 2024, during customs clearance of the export of goods for which an export duty is established, 168.1 million UAH were paid to the budget.
