Trump Calls for Stablecoin Bill
US President Donald Trump called on Congress to pass a bill to regulate stablecoins. He said this during his speech at the Digital Asset Summit 2025, Forklog reports.
Trump also criticized banking discrimination against cryptocurrency companies, which the industry has dubbed “Operation Chokepoint 2.0.” Journalists previously reported on the head of state's plans to put an end to the debanking of industry participants.
“We are ending the regulatory war on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin that the previous administration waged, and that includes stopping the illegal Chokepoint operation. It went way beyond regulation… It was a disgrace, frankly. But as of January 2025, that's all in the past,” he said.
In the address, Trump promised to make America the “undisputed Bitcoin superpower and crypto capital of the world.” He noted that his administration had already stopped selling the confiscated digital assets.
“Innovators like you can improve our banking and payments system and help improve the privacy, security, and prosperity of American consumers and businesses,” the US President emphasized.
TON Foundation Raises Over $400 Million
The TON Foundation announced that venture investors have invested over $400 million in Toncoin (TON). Participants include major companies such as Sequoia Capital, Ribbit, Benchmark, and Kingsway.
The terms and price of TON, at which the coins were purchased by counterparties, are not disclosed in the press release. The intended use of the funds is also unknown.
In addition to the above-mentioned companies, the round included: Vy Capital, Draper Associates, Libertus Capital, CoinFund, Hypersphere, SkyBridge and Karatage.
Against this background, the price of TON jumped sharply to $3.81, after which it rolled back. At the time of writing, the asset costs $3.63.
Cryptocurrency Exchange Kraken Agrees to Buy NinjaTrader for $1.5 Billion
Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has entered into an agreement to acquire the futures trading platform NinjaTrader. The deal is worth $1.5 billion, the company's press service reported.
It is noted that the acquisition will strengthen the exchange's position as a 24/7 technology platform created for professional traders.
“This agreement is the first step in realizing our vision of an institutional-grade platform where any asset can be traded at any time,” the statement said.
NinjaTrader was founded in 2003. It provides futures trading tools and is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
TRX is now available on the Solana network
TRON blockchain founder Justin Sun announced that the network's native token, TRX, is now available on Solana. The asset's emission volume is 50 million TRX, according to Solscan.
The integration is intended to provide some cross-chain compatibility between TRON and Solana. This includes TRX liquidity and availability in some projects in this ecosystem.
In particular, after the announcement, Sun noted that TRX is now available on the pump.fun platform. The community also said that the asset appeared in the Phantom Wallet crypto wallet.
The asset responded to the news with growth. At the time of writing, its value is $0.2337.
