The Netherlands has joined the newly created drone coalition for Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren. Thus, it already has five participants.
«We, of course, know that drones are very important in this war. That's why we're joining the drone development coalition that Ukraine has created with Latvia and other countries to make sure we do just that — We increase production, use the latest technologies and provide exactly what Ukraine needs», — she said.
According to her, for the Netherlands these may be additional costs in addition to the promised two billion euros for Ukraine. Kaisa Ollongren emphasized that this coalition will be able to respond to new requests from Ukraine, as she sees how the situation at the front is developing.
« ;And I think that this will be the strength of this coalition, that it will be able to provide in a very short time what they need», — she added.
