Saturday, 11 January, the award ceremony from The Ring magazine took place in London.

The Ukrainian champion of WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO in heavyweight Alexander Usyk became the “Boxer of the Year” for 2024. This verdict was made by experts from the authoritative boxing magazine The Ring.
Alexander also took the award for “Best Round of the Year” (the ninth round of Usyk's first fight &# 8212; Fury). And the fight Usyk — Fury itself was recognized as the “Best Event of the Year”.
It is worth noting that for Oleksandr Usyk, this is already the second victory in the nomination. He was first recognized as the best in 2018 , when he was still competing in the first heavyweight division. This is also not the first victory for Oleksandr Usyk in the nomination of boxing organizations for performances in 2024. The Ukrainian boxer also retained his leadership in the ranking of top boxers outside of weight categories according to ESPN.
Earlier it was reported that Usyk “mowed down” the entire heavyweight division: Joshua's promoter found him a worthy opponent.
