B In 2024, Ukrainians purchased more than 1,600 real estate properties in Turkey, becoming the third among foreign buyers.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to TUIK.

It is reported that in terms of the number of purchased objects in 2024, Ukrainians were second only to citizens of Russia and Iran.

In recent years, Turkey has become attractive to many foreigners, in particular Ukrainians. The reasons for this interest are quite obvious:

— convenient location: Turkey is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and its warm climate attracts both investors and those looking to purchase a property for vacation or permanent residence;

— developed real estate market: the Turkish market offers a wide range of properties – from affordable apartments to luxury villas on the coast;

— the possibility of obtaining a residence permit: buying real estate worth at least $200,000 allows foreigners to obtain a residence permit in Turkey;

— investment attractiveness: Turkey is a popular tourist destination, so buying real estate for rent brings a stable income;

— stability of conditions for foreign investors: the Turkish government creates favorable conditions for buying real estate, which contributes to the growth of interest from foreigners.

The minimum cost of housing for obtaining a residence permit is 200 thousand dollars, and the average price of an apartment in popular regions ranges from 120 to 250 thousand dollars.

In 2023, the Turkish government increased the minimum cost of real estate required to obtain a residence permit. Previously, this amount was 50 thousand dollars for small towns and 75 thousand dollars for megacities. Now, to obtain such a document, you need to purchase housing worth at least 200 thousand dollars.

Recall that earlier it was reported that Germany called for the immediate expulsion of Ukrainian refugees: “They must leave now.”
