According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov, the Russian leadership defines 2024 as a key and decisive year.

Danilov reported this information on Facebook, URA-Inform reports.

He is convinced that, without winning on points, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin still has hope of inflicting a “knockout” by concluding with the maximum concentration of available resources and capabilities.

«Otherwise, in the future the Kremlin will face problems of increasing capabilities, when the need for a qualitative and quantitative increase in weapons, conscripts, funding, etc. will be accompanied by an increase in the level of public discontent. When every day, month, year of war with dubious and unimpressive results will strengthen and deepen the mood of loyal expectations, which will inevitably lead to an increase in the number of dissatisfied people and those who want peace», — Danilov explained.

The official emphasized that Russians are basically not against the war, but against a «not victorious» war, but «victory» can only be a dream only in the not-so-sober dreams of Dmitry Medvedev.

According to Danilov, the trend of an increase in those who advocate a cessation of hostilities is recorded as a trend even by tame Kremlin sociologists.

«The more intensely Putin spins the military flywheel, the faster the discontent of the «deep people» — in the formula is directly proportional. The ingenious balance of interests between the moods of Russian society and Putin’s plans may last no longer than 2024 and will inevitably diverge in the absence of fundamental changes and achievement of significant results», — Danilov said.

We recall that it was previously reported that the DPRK suspended supplies of ammunition to the Russian Federation: what is known.
