The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, said that Russian troops are using guided bombs weighing up to 1.5 tons at the front, capable of destroying everything in their path.
Umerov reported this information on his Facebook, reports URA-Inform.
According to him, the aforementioned bombs allow the invaders to advance through the ruins, bringing destruction and fear among the civilian population.
«Russia chooses no means in its quest to destroy what it cannot take, resorting to shocking criminal acts against civilians and critical infrastructure», — Umerov emphasized.
He also expressed gratitude to European partners and High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell for supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia.
«This year, Russia has launched thousands of missiles and kamikaze drones, resorting to the unprecedented use of guided bombs weighing up to 1.5 tons, which are capable of destroying everything in their path», — ; the minister added.
Umerov also expressed gratitude to the countries that have provided or expressed their willingness to transfer the necessary air defense systems to Ukraine, in particular, Germany for its decision to send additional Patriot systems.
«It is air defense systems that can become a decisive factor in protecting the skies of Ukraine and save thousands of lives, ensuring our defenders the opportunity to repel aggression and force the enemy to retreat», — concluded the head of the Ministry of Defense.
