320 protective facilities from 1800, which were agreed upon with the Japanese side, have already been transferred to the Ministry of Development
The Japanese government announced the transfer of 1,800 gabion structures to Ukraine , which must protect infrastructure facilities. 320 of them have already been received by the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, the department reported on its Facebook page.
The ceremony of handing over the gabions was attended by Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Alexandra Azarkhina, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda and the deputy chief representative of the Japan International Community Agency in Ukraine, Satoshi Sugimoto.
“Thanks to the help of the Japanese government, we have received additional opportunities for passive protection of important infrastructure facilities,” Alexandra Azarkhina noted in her speech.
< Gabions will be used primarily to protect gas transportation facilities in the frontline regions of Ukraine.
