Russia shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region
On the night of August 5, the Ukrainian Air Force detected and shot down 24 drones of the occupiers.
Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with attack drones of the type “Shahed” from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk regions, the Ukrainian Air Force telegram channel says.
Enemy drones shot down mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare assets of the Air Force in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that 967 combat clashes took place last week. Russia continues to focus its efforts on the Pokrovsky, Toretsky, Kramatorsk and Kurakhovsky directions, where heavy fighting continues.
In the Pokrovsky directiondefenders repelled 341 attacks by the invaders. The enemy concentrated its main efforts in the area of the settlements of Vozdvizhenka, Novoselovka Pervaya, Novoaleksandrovka, Zhelanne, Progress, Yasnobrodovka.
The weekly number of combat clashes remained almost the same as the week before. During the week of July 29-August 4, the number of attacks by the invaders in the Kharkov, Kupyansk, Limansk, Kramatorsk, Kurakhovsky, and Orekhovsky directions decreased. The Russian army struck the Nikopol community of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the evening and at night. The enemy struck with artillery and a kamikaze drone.
Two people were injured in the Pokrovsk community, which suffered the most. They are a 26-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman, the head of the OVA Sergey Lysak reported on Telegram.
In the community, a cafe, a shopping pavilion and a water dispenser were damaged. Eight private houses, six outbuildings, cars, solar panels, gas pipelines and power lines were damaged.
“A private enterprise was damaged in Nikopol. Krasnogrigoryevskaya, Marganetskaya and Mirovskaya communities also suffered from enemy attacks. People are safe,” added Sergei Lysak.
The SBU press service reported that the Security Service counterintelligence neutralized a large-scale FSB agent network that was preparing missile, bomb and drone strikes by Russia on six regions of Ukraine.
As a result of a multi-stage special operation, 9 Russian agents were simultaneously detained in Dnepr, Zaporozhye and Sumy, as well as in Donetsk, Odessa and Kirovograd regions. For the sake of conspiracy, the defendants acted separately, but were linked to one FSB career officer. His identity has already been established by the Security Service.
